Autzen Mansion

In the Alameda neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, this Tudor Revival residence is a testament to architectural excellence, originally crafted in 1927 by the distinguished Kirtland K. Cutter. The renovation revitalizes key areas of the home while preserving its enduring character and charm.

Embracing a contemporary vision, the transformation has redefined the layout, opening formerly confined spaces into an expansive kitchen, butler’s pantry, powder room, and family room.  The kitchen and butler’s pantry feature marble countertops, custom cabinetry, and new appliances. Decorative pendant lighting adds a touch of softness and elegance above the island. The powder room blends old-world charm with modernity and the inviting family room is designed to enhance daily living while fostering a sense of cohesion and warmth.

The lower level introduces amenities that promote both wellness and leisure. A home gym encourages an active lifestyle, while the spa—complete with a tranquil Japanese soaking tub surrounded by teak finishes and soft LED lighting—offers a serene retreat. The thoughtfully designed wine room features temperature-controlled storage with ambient lighting and natural stone, catering to the connoisseur’s passion for fine vintages.
