House of Blues
This striking remodel and addition breathe new life into a 1926 Tudor home, gracefully positioned to offer sweeping views of Lake Washington. The transformation includes the thoughtful removal of an outdated detached garage, paving the way for an integrated garage and a sophisticated guest suite. A new rear stair hall seamlessly links these spaces to the main residence, fostering a sense of unity throughout.
The terraced yards have been designed for direct interior access, enhancing the flow between the home and its enchanting outdoor landscapes. Inside, the owner’s passion for blue manifests in vibrant color palettes that enliven the interiors, reflecting a contemporary sensibility while honoring the home’s historical roots.
An eclectic mix of art, lighting, and furnishings—combining both vintage and modern elements—invites a youthful energy into each room, making the residence both inviting and dynamic. This project not only revitalizes the architectural legacy of the Tudor style but also forges a contemporary narrative, harmonizing timeless elegance with modern living.
