Our client envisioned a sit-in island, but the space didn’t quite accommodate the design. Instead, we crafted a Dining Nook that not only fulfilled the vision but exceeded expectations. The nook fosters a sense of connection, allowing guests to engage with the homeowners while working at the kitchen island, all without the visual clutter of traditional island chairs.
To complete this special space, a unique table was essential. As a nod to the neighborhood’s natural surroundings, we sourced a salvaged English Elm through Urban Hardwoods. Designed by us and expertly crafted by Urban Hardwoods, the table features a 96×54 elliptical single slab, finished with an ebonized oak treatment and mounted on a blackened steel pedestal base. Utilizing a pedestal base from the Holly Hunt Peso Table, this custom dining table and its accompanying banquette now serve as the grounding focal point of the room.
