Architecture has been a pursuit for Aaron since grade school. Each professional interest survey reaffirmed a career in architecture and the path has never wavered. Aaron appreciates interaction and collaboration with others to create unique homes that serve as the backdrop for human experience. The exploration between environmental responsibility, contextualism, building science, construction, and design all serve as a focus to learn new things every day.
Mike brings a depth of design experience to a broad range of projects with a passion for private residences both contemporary and traditional. Collaborative in process and with attention to detail, he strives to bring elegant yet simple design solutions to each project. His previous experience with international commercial and institutional projects has given him a thoughtful perspective of architecture as a sense of place. In 1995 he was selected to pursue joint venture opportunities in Russia and was assigned overseas duties as a resident architect in Moscow.
Brittney was born in the Carolinas and grew up continuously engaged in the arts. With a passion for design and personal connections, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Architecture with a minor in Sociology from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She went on to earn her Master of Architecture from Georgia Institute of Technology before starting her career in Atlanta. She’s been a Seattleite since 2013 and has experience in boutique commercial architecture, custom furniture design, and high end custom residential architecture. She brings versatile knowledge, commitment, and enthusiasm to thoughtful, personal designs for her clients. She delights in listening to and understanding her client’s needs and dreams, then cultivating those dreams into the perfect space for their everyday living – a place to call home.
Danielle brings 22 years of experience in multiple aspects of interior design to her residential and commercial work. She specializes in full service design, including custom furniture, decorative lighting, art procurement and installation. Danielle’s inspiration for each project is to help achieve her client’s personal vision. This allows for creation of a meaningful residence that is true to the people who live there.
Jack grew up in interior Alaska and moved to Seattle to pursue an architectural education at the University of Washington, where he earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Architecture. Interested in architectural history, Jack studied abroad in Rome, Italy and Chandigarh, India. Prior to becoming an architectural designer by training, Jack is a carpenter by trade, and has been in the building and residential construction industry his entire life. Jack contributes interests in design, construction detailing, building science, and accessibility. When not working hard, Jack is playing hard and can be found pursuing his passions of the great outdoors, music, home improvement, and gardening.
Jonathan earned his BFA in Fine Art from the Columbus College of Art & Design with advanced study in traditional and contemporary printmaking. He received his Master of Architecture at the Ohio State University, delivering his thesis on cross disciplinary models for figural architecture. During his time there he participated in study abroad studying Scandinavian architecture and early modernism. He later returned as resident director of the program to teach architectural drawing to its students in Central Europe. His work has been exhibited nationally as well as abroad. He has been working on custom residential architecture on the west coast since 2014. While in Seattle he learned to sail, as well as the finer aspects of craft cocktails. Jonathan currently resides on his family farm in Ohio, and in his free time enjoys hiking, travel abroad, and time with his wife and young children.
Kara Walker works with the Studio AM Team remotely from Alaska. With over 10 years of experience in her field, she manages all business operations ranging from daily accounting entries to a comprehensive evaluation of business health, with the objective of maximizing efficiency and ensuring that all firm goals are met.
TJ, a Northwest native, was drawn to architecture in high school, while remodeling houses and drafting for a structural engineer. He spent his undergraduate years studying Architecture at the University Idaho and more recently returned to Seattle to gain a Master of Architecture at the University of Washington. While in graduate school, he started interning at Soldano Luth Architects, specializing in high end custom design. He became a full time employee for the next 5 years, which offered him a valuable hands on experience with the many aspects of custom residential design. TJ is passionate about the art of design and the science of construction and delights in working with clients and the many professionals who bring a project to completion.
Lucy is a seasoned office greeter with over 5 years of experience. She works every Thursday and Friday and enjoys treats and affection from her coworkers. Lucy excels at her job by not only greeting every person who comes into the office, but by keeping everyone safe from the birds and squirrels outdoors, by barking at them.
Puck is a faithful assistant to Lucy by guarding the office door when the humans are away. Puck enjoys a sporadic work schedule but always arrives ready to do a full day’s work. He greets office visitors but also patrols the office frequently for snacks.Our People
